Happy 7th Birthday HBH !!

Gail Johnson- 07 July 2016

Very pleased that the business has happily reached its seventh birthday !

HBH is a family business and was helped enormously in the early days by my Mam and Dad who supported me as I started out on the exciting but challenging role of self employment.  Collecting bits, packing envelopes and doing the banking were all jobs that they helped with and I would have been rather stuck without them.  Paddy pooch has been a great asset from the start at just sitting and watching me as i contemplated various business decisions and somehow helping me find the right answers.

The business has grown steadily over the years and its great to have Diane (office manager and sister in law) as a vital part of the team - I create the work and Diane makes it work.  Also we have Alex (nephew) who is a great asset to the team with his varying role of skills which are essential so many thanks to both of them.

Our customers and their horses are the most important part of the business and its great that we have a really high level of repeat loyal customers who return to us year after year (or horse after horse for many of us!).  Ive been very lucky to meet some of the most amazing horses and go on to help them be more comfortable which is very rewarding and the main reason that I love my job so much.

Thanks also go to our suppliers, mainly Neue Schule who have supported me since day one and I am so pleased that they have such great products to enable me to do my job so well !

Lastly, the HBH horses and sheep - when youve had a tough day, nothing beats a horse hug to make everything alright again.

FEI Weymouth Rule Confusion !!

Gail Johnson- 29 June 2015

Over the past few days there were reports that all tilted mouthpieces were to be rendered illegal under FEI rules.

This is now confirmed as incorrect and all tilted mouthpieces are in fact, still legal.
