Virtual Bitting Consultation
  • Virtual Bitting Consultation

Virtual Biting Consultation - too far away from Gail for her to visit ?  This should be perfect for you!

Unique to the market is the HBH Virtual Bitting Consultation.  Brings the benefit of Gail's wealth of experience to your horse wherever you are.

    You will need:
    You
    Your horse
A helper to video you and your horse

Book the consultation online and we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time (allow one hour) for either a live consultation (evenings and weekends included) or a video consult.

Correct bit fitting is really important but often unfortunately overlooked. Issues caused by an incorrectly fitted bit can include:

    Tongue sores and cuts
    Ulcers under the tongue
Rubs and splits in the corners of the lips
Incorrect pressure dispersion across the bitting pressure points
    Behavioural evasions

When you purchase the Virtual Bitting Consultation, Bitting Advisor Gail will talk you through what we need you demonstrate from a full bridle fitting check and current bit fitting set up and advise on any adjustment we need you to make.  When ready, we will move onto the ridden consultation.

This service offers you as much help as Gail can give you without her actually being there.  You will get expert bitting advice and we keep full notes for any future training/development.  If appropriate, a new bit will be recommended and can then be purchased on our 30 day trial.  We then check in with you again during the trial for another video consult to see how you are getting on.

Make sure your horse is comfortable !

    HIRE TERMS

The hire period is 30 days from the date you receive the bit and if you have any queries or questions during this time, please contact me.
The full price is paid at the time of purchase and if the bit is returned, a refund less the hire charge (£14.50 per bit * NS Turtle Tilt is £35.00 hire charge) and postage is processed.

Please take care of the bit and keep it in good condition during the hire period. Damaged or broken bits cannot be returned.
Don't worry about teeth marks - this sometimes happens with warmer sweeter metals - or oxidation - this happens with sweet iron and has a rusty appearance.
Both are perfectly normal and will not affect me accepting the bit back.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the bit is kept safe from damage, theft and loss during the trial period.

All bits must be returned in clean condition and we ask that you wash the bit gently but thoroughly in warm water to remove any grass, food etc.
All bits returned to Horse Bit Hire will be disinfected thoroughly.
Horse Bit Hire cannot be held responsible for any diseases, infections, viruses or mouth or medical conditions that appear after hiring a bit from us.

The bit must be back with Horse Bit Hire before the Hire End Date to avoid further charges being incurred.
