RETURNS POLICY


For purchases (where the customer has chosen "Buy" as the website option): If you decide to return your bit for any reason or require an exchange, please contact us within seven days of receiving the item and we will be happy to provide an exchange or refund providing the item is in the condition it was received and in its original packaging. An additional charge for postage and packing will be required for exchange (as per original order). Postage and packing charges will not be refunded unless the item is deemed to be faulty.

It is recommended that any items for return are sent by Special Delivery to ensure that you are fully covered for compensation should the parcel go astray. Horse Bit Hire cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage in the post.

For Hires (where the customer has chosen "hire" as the website option): The hire period is 30 days from date you receive the bit and the bit must be back with Horse Bit Hire before the Hire End Date to avoid further charges being incurred. The hire charge is £8.00 per bit and £2.00 for accessories (eg leather curb strap). The full price is charged upfront and if the bit is returned, a refund less p&p and the hire charge is processed within 2 working days. It is your responsibility to ensure that the bit is kept safe from damage, theft and loss during the trial period.  If you require a longer hire period due to illness etc please discuss with Gail - we can arrange an extra 30 days for an additional £8.00 - no further charges are made though if you keep the bit.
